Short Description
The Waterberg Home for the Aged was built in 1960 1961 by the Reformed Church (Gereformeerde Kerk) in Nylsroom as a haven for the lonely elderly who remained on the farms in the vicinity after their children moved to the cities, and to provide for their social needs.
In later years it developed to render extended services and now days full-time institutional nursing care is offered for the aged, frail aged and disabled. Day-care services are rendered when rooms are available.
Since 1 April 2008 the home was incorporated with the Residentia Foundation (now Residentia).
