Use the search bar on the homepage to type a name, city or area. You can also filter by province, care level (Independent Living, Assisted Living, Frail Care, Dementia Care) and transaction type (To Rent, For Sale, Life Rights). Each listing shows photos, contact details, amenities and pricing where available.

Independent Living is for active, self-sufficient people over 50 who want a secure, social lifestyle without daily care. Assisted Living provides support with daily tasks like meals, medication and bathing while still allowing independence. Frail Care offers full-time nursing care for those with serious health needs. Dementia Care is a specialised environment designed for people living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.

A Retirement Village is typically a larger, self-contained community of independent units — think sectional title apartments or freestanding homes within a secure estate, with shared amenities like a clubhouse, pool and social activities. A Retirement Home is a residential care facility where meals, daily assistance and nursing support are provided. It suits people who need more help with day-to-day living and prefer not to manage their own household. Both are legitimate, respected options — the right choice depends on the level of independence and care needed.

Life Rights gives you the right to occupy a unit for the rest of your life — it is not ownership, but it is secure and popular in South Africa. Sectional Title means you purchase the unit outright and own it. Renting is a monthly tenancy with no purchase required. Each option has different financial and estate implications, so it is worth discussing with a financial adviser before deciding.

Every listing has a phone number, email button and — where available — a WhatsApp link. You contact the venue directly. We do not act as a middleman or take any commission. Your details are only shared with the venue you enquire to.

Claimed and verified listings (shown with a Claimed badge) are managed directly by the venue and are more likely to have current details. Unclaimed listings may have older information. When in doubt, call the venue directly to confirm availability and pricing.

A Claimed listing means the venue owner or manager has taken ownership of the listing and keeps it updated. Unclaimed listings were added to the directory but have not yet been verified by the venue. We encourage all venues to claim their listing for free.

Try broadening your search — search by province rather than a specific city, or remove some filters. You can also use our AI assistant (the chat icon on the site) to describe what you are looking for and it will suggest matching venues. If you still can't find what you need, send us a message via the Contact page and we'll do our best to help.

We are a directory — we connect people to venues, but we do not provide medical or care advice.

Yes. When you submit an enquiry, your details are sent directly to the venue you contacted. We do not sell, share or distribute your personal information to any third parties. All data is handled in accordance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act).
